Camille Toarmino, PhD
KPA-CTP & Head Trainer
I’m Camille, a certified positive reinforcement dog trainer through the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy. I also hold a PhD in psychology focused in animal communication. I have over fifteen years of experience training animals ranging from birds and mice to cats, monkeys, and, of course, dogs! My background in science and animal behavior gives me a unique perspective on training: I understand not just what works, but why it works. I’m devoted to understanding how animals think, feel, and learn, and I bring this expertise to every dog training session for reliable, lasting results.
Whether you’re raising a puppy, supporting a newly adopted dog, or facing behavior challenges that feel overwhelming, I bring both evidence-based methods and deep compassion to every session. If your dog barks, lunges, or shuts down in certain situations, know that you’re not alone—and I’m here to help you and your dog find calmer, more confident ways to navigate the world together. As your trainer, my goal is not just to help your dog learn, but to give you the tools and confidence to support your dog long after our sessions end.
At home, I share my life with Esmie, a five-year-old poodle mix. Together, we embrace all Colorado has to offer. She loves blueberries, bagging peaks, and chasing squirrels.
